Payments and card data
Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's secure infrastructure. Your full card number is entered on Stripe's Checkout and is never seen or stored by Amberwick. Where PayPal is offered, PayPal processes those payments under its own terms. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited billing details needed to fulfil and account for your order.
Order fulfilment, delivery and returns data
- We use your name, delivery address, email and phone to process, pack, dispatch and deliver your order to the shipping address you provide at checkout.
- We share the delivery address and contact details with our logistics and delivery carriers only as needed to ship your parcel and provide tracking.
- Billing name and address are processed by our payment provider and used by us to account for the order; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Where you request a return, exchange or refund, we process the related order and contact details through our customer-support channel to resolve it.
- For cross-border orders, limited order details may be shared with customs or carriers where required to clear and deliver the parcel.
- Order and fulfilment records are retained for tax and consumer-law periods (see “How long we keep it”).
International transfers
We ship worldwide and some processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for as long as required by tax and consumer law (typically up to 6 years). Marketing and enquiry data collected via our forms is retained for no longer than 24 months from your last interaction unless you ask us to erase it sooner. We then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights (UK GDPR / EU GDPR / CCPA)
- Access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your personal data.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.
